[. . . ] Fitting TRAK snow chains needs only a few simple steps and the exclusive new TRAK method highlights ease of use, exceptional performance, safety and comfort. The chain and wheel fitting kit includes 1 knurled red tightening wheel, 4 different length studs (VERY SHORT, SHORT, MEDIUM LONG), 2 different length spacers (SHORT, LONG), 3 different sockets (17mm, 19mm and 21mm). [. . . ] 1) Open up the arms of the cross to form an X, arrange the chain over the tyre and fix the cross to the wheel. 2) Position yourself facing the wheel and choose whichever wheel stud is located most to the right. 4) Grip the bar with the red knob firmly from above and hold it facing downwards. Turn the red tightening wheel clockwise with as much force as possible. 5) With one hand on the red wheel and the other on the bar with the red knob, turn the wheel and the bar clockwise at the same time until the bar is lined up with the centre of the wheel. 6) Hook the elasticated clip on the yellow chain to the red hook on one of the arms of the cross. 7) Press the centre of the cross so that the yellow chain runs over the central red block until no more than 3 links of chain remain. 8) Drive away the Trak chains will adjust themselves automatically on the tyre after a short distance (10 or 20 yards). If you are fitting the chains in a car park or in deep snow, drive back and forth for a yard or so a few times and, if possible, press the arms of the cross to help the TRAK chains slip into position. Unfasten the elasticated tensioner clip on the yellow chain from the red metal hook on the cross. 2) Press the centre of the cross with one hand and unfasten the yellow chain with the other. 3) Detach the fitting block from the wheel by turning the bar with the small bar with red knob anti-clockwise then do the same with the red knurled wheel. [. . . ] After use, wash the TRAK chains with soap and water to remove all traces of salt. Maggi will not accept responsibility for any accidents, injuries or damage following the use of TRAK snow chains. [. . . ]
